This was one of my most satisfying nights in
my career, as I was not expected to go anymore than a few rounds and in
the end the champ had to fight one of his hardest fights to keep the
title. His manager, the great Mickey Duff, said to me after the fight
that he wanted to know what shop I bought my bottle and chin out of as the
champ had hit me with everything he had and I was still firing shots back
at him the whole fight. He also said he wanted me back in the York hall to
fight as the crowd loved my style [never say die].........you've never
fought till you fight in the York Hall Bethnal Green. That is where every
boxer in Britain wants to fight and I had the pleasure twice in my career. |
