NEW TRAVEL CONNECTIONS PROJECT for Maybole and surrounding areas.

Stepping Stones for Families, having secured funding from the Big Lottery Fund Fair Share Trust programme, are delighted to advise you of the Travel Connections project which has been launched within Maybole and its surrounding areas (CROSSHILL, DAILLY, DUNURE, FISHERTON, KIRKMICHAEL, KIRKOSWALD, MAIDENS, MINISHANT, STRAITON, AND TURNBERRY).

The aim of the Project is to enable residents within the above areas to access a subsidised, flexible transport scheme at times when no other transport is available or accessible. Travel Connections will complement the existing travel network by providing transport where possible to link with public transport or by providing transport direct to the service you require. With Service Provider availability, this service will operate 24/7!

Travel is by either PRIVATE TAXI or *VOLUNTEER DRIVER

Travel Connections can help you travel to:

v Employment

v Education / Training (for example: College, Training Courses, Work Placements)

v Activity Groups (for example: Youth Clubs, Senior Clubs, Sports Clubs)

v Health or Welfare Facilities (for example: Doctors, Dentists, Opticians, Physiotherapy, Family Support Appointments)

IF you live in the Fair Share area (as noted above)

IF you want to use a service either within the Fair Share area or nearby

IF you do not have access to a car

IF public transport is not available within 30 minutes of the time you need to travel!

The cost of the service per journey is £3.60 per adult, £1.80 for a Young Person, Free for Under 5’s. (Note: Under 12’s must be accompanied by an adult)
