The school is a non-denominational, co-educational 6 year comprehensive school with a pupil roll of approximately 640.

Curriculum & Departmental Structures
The curriculum is delivered through the following departmental structures:

Art, Biology, Business Education, Chemistry, Computing, English, Geography, History & Modern Studies, Home Economics, Mathematics, Modern Languages, Music, Physical Education, Physics, Religious and Moral Education, Technical.

The curriculum is also supported by Learning Support, Guidance and Pupil Support.

Support Staff in the school are Office Staff, Technicians, Librarian, Janitors and Catering Direct Staff.

In S1/2 the courses relate to the 5-14 curriculum, Standard Grades in S3/4 and Higher Still in S5/6.

Assessment
Assessments used are both internal and external. SQA examinations form the external component.

Adults are welcome to join courses where space is available.
