Duke of Edinburgh

A group of Bronze and Silver candidates from Carrick Academy were recently invited to attend the Duke of Edinburgh's Award Presentation evening at Jabil Circuits, Ayr. They were presented with the Awards and later enjoyed a buffet supper.

Jabil are keen supporters of the Award and have hosted the event on several occasions. It is a chance for young people from all over South Ayrshire to come together and celebrate their achievements.

Well done to all Carrick Academy candidates!!

Tree of Knowlege - Laugh in the Face of Exams!

S3 pupils were involved in a half-day workshop in the Town Hall with staff from the Tree of Knowledge.  The focus was on how to prepare for exams and setting future goals.  The presentation was interactive and very entertaining - each pupil was given a clock and had to make a model demonstrating their ambition - this model stays in the clock as a reminder of the event!
