S1 Ayrshire Schools
Seven Report
Carrick A finished
runners up on Wednesday 25th April. They won their group,
which was seen as the group of death by defeating Marr, Wellington
and Grange, scoring 16 tries in the process. In the Semi Final the
score was 5-3 to Carrick however Marr gained revenge for their
earlier defeat winning the final 8 - 3. Carrick B were up against
bigger and more experienced teams however they never gave up and
scored 6 tries of their own over the three games.

Work Experience
The first week of S3 work experience begins on the 7th
May and the second week begins on the 14th May. This
should give S3 pupils a great insight into the world of work. Good

Study leave and Pupil return
The
S4 study leave began at 3.30pm on Friday,27th April . The
first exam has already taken place, Administration on Monday 30th
April.
The S5/6 study leave
begins on Thursday, 10th May and the first exam will take
place on Friday 11th – English books at the ready.
All
pupils return to school on Monday, 4th June
Girls Rugby 7’s
On Saturday 28th
April two rugby squads headed to Edinburgh. The teams took part in
a tournament featuring teams from all over Scotland. The final
results were 4th place for the junior squad captained by
Sam Wallace for the day and 5th place for the senior
squad captained by Hannah McCubbin. Well Done Girls. |
