MAYBOLE GOLF COURSE
Ample opportunities for recreation are available in the town. There is a 9 hole public golf course, public tennis courts, and public bowling green in the Memorial Park, with a private bowling green at which visitors are welcomed in Cassillis Road. The Miller Park provides a children's playground with swings, roundabouts, etc. for the young members of the community and at Glebe Park there are football pitches for the energetic youths. The Town Green is adjacent to the railway station and is a lovely open space with trees, flowers and grass lawns, with a shelter for the older people who wish to sit and watch the world go by. There is a Junior Football Team who play at Ladywell Stadium and also some amateur football teams who play their games at Glebe Park.
MEMORIAL PARK
For fishing enthusiasts there are many lochs and streams around the district and of course sea fishing at the nearby villages of Maidens and Dunure.
In the Carnegie Library at the bottom of High Street. there is a fine book lending department and in addition a pleasant reading room and rooms for playing billiards, snooker, dominoes, etc. For residents of the district there is also the County Library which is situated in Ayr.
