FAMILY HISTORY

FIRST GENERATION

1.  James GRAY was born about 1766.   He died on January 15, 1822 in Ayr, Ayrshire.  He was a Shipmaster.   He was buried in Kirkbride Churchyard #27.

Ellison HAMILTON was born about 1766.   She died on November 15, 1833.  She was buried in Kirkbride Churchyard #27.   James GRAY and Ellison HAMILTON had the following children:

              2                      i.    Agness GRAY  was born on February 2, 1794 in Parish of Maybole, Ayrshire.1

              3                     ii.    Jean GRAY was baptized on August 17, 1797 in Parish of St. Quivox & Newton, Ayrshire. 2

              4                    iii.    Hugh GRAY was born about 1798.   He died on December 15, 1820 in shipwreck off Ireland.

              5                    iv.    James GRAY was baptized on April 22, 1804 in Parish of Ayr, Ayrshire. 3

              6                     v.    Allison GRAY was baptized on December 24, 1807 in Parish of Ayr, Ayrshire. 4
