My husband Jim and I
would love to find some living Dunlop or Campbell relatives. My great
grandmother Annie Dunlop was born on 12 July 1852 at Port Fairy in Victoria to
William Dunlop and Mary Ann Campbell who were married in Ayr on 3rd June 1850
and arrived in Victoria on Sept 28 1850. William Dunlop was born on 19 Sept 1823
at Grange Cottage in the Parish of Maybole to David Dunlop and Agnes Ferguson.
David and Agnes had 9 children and Agnes died in May 1835, after which David
married Margaret McWhirter (daughter of William McWhirter and Agness Newal).
David was the son of James Dunlop and Jane Shaw.

GIBSON
I am a descendant of Adam Gibson, who was a Master Shoemaker in the
Maybole area. Adam Gibson is listed in the Parish Register at his marriage in
1830, as a Master Shoemaker of Grange St, Maybole. He is also listed in the 1837
Ayrshire Directory as a Boot and Shoe Maker at Culroy, Maybole.
Adam Gibson's son
John Gibson, emigrated to South Australia in 1862 and that John Gibson was my
great-grandfather. I have checked the LDS International Genealogical Index and
the relevant Parish Registers to establish the most likely forbears for Adam
Gibson, and my resulting ancestral line, as set out briefly below -
