ONE US GENEALOGIST
REUNITES A SCOTTISH COMMUNITY
You never know what could result from a family history Web site. Feather Sound,
Fla, resident Rich Pettit created a site for one of his ancestral hometowns www.maybole.org
(Maybole, Scotland), in August 1999. Less than two years later, his creation has
turned into one of Scotland's largest community Web sites. The St. Petersburg
Times featured Pettit in an article last week. Pettit's Maybole site now has
750-plus pages with thousands of images, documentation of the town's
history and lives of past and current residents. It has reunited families
and connected genealogists across the globe. Read this entire Internet genealogy
