Residents of Crosne Street had a great time with friends at their Hallowe’en party last week. Nell Samson chairs the residents group and she was encouraged to try dookin’ for apples. She wrote this poem especially for the occasion.

It’s All Hallow’s Eve; beware, beware.

If out and about; take care, take care.

The witches from Crosne Street are stirring their pot.

They’re ugly and horrid, a real wicked lot.

A taste of their soup and you feel really ill.

Not like the lovely broth made by our Phil.

So if you are coming for fish and chip tea,

Sit next to an angel, it might even be me!
