Quiz master Callum McKelvie set a highly entertaining quiz for this year’s Gala and ten teams thoroughly enjoyed the competition which was held in Callum’s pub, the Maybole Arms. The eventual winners were “1066 and all that” which may seem an unusual name till you realise the team members are all Hastings! Our photo shows father and son Alistair and Adam Hastings, and David Hastings (brother or uncle depending on how you look at the family relationship) with William Grant, vice chair of Maybole Community Association, and Callum McKelvie. Runner up was “Team Turnberry” with Stevie Gray, Morna Mackenzie, David Wilson and Ian Hewitt.
