Season 1999/2000 Summary
Maybole Amateurs have now completed their fixtures for Season 1999/2000.

The goal set for the team, in this their first season in the highly competitive Premier League, was to consolidate their position. This they did, finishing in a creditable mid-table position.

In addition the team won the Counties main trophy, the Ayrshire Cup, beating Mossblown 1-0 in the final at Somerset Park, home of Ayr United F.C.(No Maybole team having won the trophy for over sixty years).

The team also had their best ever run in Scottish Cup, narrowly losing away to eventual finalists, Norton House(Fife) in the Quarter Finals, going down 2-1 with the home team scoring the winner in the last minute of the game.

The committee of Maybole Amateurs would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has sponsored and supported the team throughout the season and look forward to their continuing support in the coming season, which will commence at the beginning of August.
