Erected by JOHN McKIE in remembrance of his wife JANE McLEOD who died at Drumshang Cottage 31st May 1888 aged 62.  The above JOHN McKIE died 6th November 1909 in his 84th year.  Also ALEXANDER MUNRO who died at Dunure 20th February 1910 aged 67.

FIRST GENERATION

1.  James McCLURG was a Ploughman.

  James McCLURG and Jane McGUFFIE had the following children:

SECOND GENERATION

2.  Jane McCLURG (James-1) was born about 1833 in Parish of Kirkmaiden, Wigtownshire.   She died on May 31, 1888 in Drumshang Cottage, Maybole.1  She was buried in Kirkbride Churchyard #45.

She was married to John McKIE (son of Thomas McKIE and Elizabeth EDGAR) on March 2, 1848 in Parish of Kirkmaiden, Wigtownshire. 2  John McKIE was baptized on October 17, 1827 in Parish of Kirkmaiden, Wigtownshire. 3  He died on November 6, 1909 in Dunure, Maybole, Ayrshire.4   He was a Ploughman/Farm Servant.  He was buried in

Kirkbride Churchyard #45.   Monumental Inscription at Kirkbride Churchyard - Erected by JOHN McKIE in

              9                   vii.    William McKIE was born about 1867 in Parish of Maybole, Ayrshire.

            10                  viii.    George McKIE was born on March 13, 1870 in Parish of Maybole, Ayrshire.

            11                    ix.    Agnes McKIE was born on July 4, 1872 in Parish of Maybole, Ayrshire.

THIRD GENERATION

4.   Georgina McKIE (Jane McCLURG-2, James-1) was baptized on April 17, 1850 in Parish of Kirkmaiden, Wigtownshire. 7  She died on January 28, 1931.  She was buried in Dunure Cemetery.

Alexander MUNRO (son of James MUNRO and Margaret GUTHRIE)  was born about 1843 in Parish of Maybole, Ayrshire.  He died on February 20, 1910 in Dunure, Maybole, Ayrshire. 8  He was a Fisherman.  He was buried in Kirkbride Churchyard #45.   Georgina McKIE and Alexander MUNRO had the following children:

          +12                      i.    John MUNRO (born on December 13, 1870).

            13                     ii.    Mungo MUNRO was born on March 19, 1873 in Dunure, Maybole, Ayrshire.

            14                    iii.    Jane J MUNRO was born on July 25, 1875 in Dunure, Maybole, Ayrshire.

            15                    iv.    Margaret MUNRO was born about 1877 in Dunure, Maybole, Ayrshire.   She died on July 12, 1940.  She was buried in Dunure Cemetery.

            16                     v.    James MUNRO was born in 1880 in Dunure, Maybole, Ayrshire.

            17                    vi.    Thomas MUNRO was born about 1896.   He died on December 29, 1959.  He was buried in Dunure Cemetery.

          +18                   vii.    Georgina McKie MUNRO (born about 1901).

6.  Jane McKIE (Jane McCLURG-2, James-1) . 

John McNEE died on September 30, 1883.   He was a Soldier.  He was buried in

Kirkbride Churchyard #46.   Monumental Inscription at Kirkbride Churchyard - Erected by JANE McKIE in

memory of her husband JOHN McNEE who died 30th September 1883 aged 54, late

of the Scots Greys, one of the Balaclava heroes.  JOHN LYMBURN who died 11th

August 1904 in his 20th year.

7.  Elizabeth McKIE (Jane McCLURG-2, James-1) was born on April 14, 1858 in Parish of Kirkmaiden, Wigtownshire.   She died before 1904.

Andrew LYMBURN was born about 1860 in Parish of West Kilbride, Ayrshire.  He died before 1904.  He was a Farm Servant.  Elizabeth McKIE and Andrew LYMBURN had the following children: 

            19                      i.    James LYMBURN was born about 1880 in Parish of Maybole, Ayrshire.

            20                     ii.    John LYMBURN was born about 1884.   He died on August 13, 1904 in Dunure, Maybole, Ayrshire.  He was a Farm Servant.   He was buried in Kirkbride Churchyard #46.

FOURTH GENERATION

 12.  John MUNRO  (Georgina McKIE-3, Jane McCLURG-2, James-1) was born on December 13, 1870 in Dunure, Maybole, Ayrshire.   He died on March 11, 1952.  He was buried in Dunure Cemetery.

Grace ANDREW (daughter of William ANDREW and Margaret Marion McCRINDLE)  was born on January 2, 1871 in Dunure, Ayrshire.  She died on April 13, 1935.   She was buried in Dunure Cemetery.

18.   Georgina McKie MUNRO (Georgina McKIE-3, Jane McCLURG-2, James-1)  was born about 1901.  She died on August 11, 1957.  She was buried in Dunure Cemetery.

Donald BOYD was born in 1899.   He died on April 12, 1967.  He was buried in Dunure Cemetery.   Georgina McKie MUNRO and Donald BOYD had the following children:

            21                      i.    Margaret BOYD. 

            22                     ii.    Jean BOYD .
