CROSSRAGUEL ABBEY UNITED CELEBRATION SERVICE
OF THE YEAR 2000. On a day of brilliant sunshine, members of
Maybole churches celebrated the year 2000 with a united
services at Crossraguel Abbey.

June 24 Gala Pageant
Local organisations re-enacted historical
scenes. The Carrick 800 Re-enactment Society took part
basing their display around the late 17th century. They set
up a civil war living history camp and demonstrated
different fighting techniques and weapons of the period
culminating in a full battle scenario. Maybole Community
Association organised this gala. Historical Theatre were
represented through concerts, street theatre and historical
playlets.
