When Maybole Went Pop. Maybole's boot and
shoe factories made the town famous- and its was mighty thirsty work!
Houses too close to industrial site. A Homes
development may not be right on the site of a former Maybole factory,
say planners.
Net a deal with us, Maybole group tells local
volunteers. A Maybole group has come up with a deal designed to
encourage more townspeople to click on to the Internet. The town's Community
Development Group is looking for local volunteers at 48/50 High St.
New Business Group. A Business association is
to be set up in Maybole. Its aims are likely to include the enhancement
of the town centre and the installation of closed circuit security
cameras.
Burns Fans Try to Sup Again! Better late than
never' is clearly the motto being adopted by organisers of Carrick
Academy's annual Burns Supper.

£250,000 plan to use solar power for
lighthouse. Ailsa Craig lighthouse could soon be using solar power to
warn sailors of impending danger. A £¼ million refurbishment programme
is being planned...
