Maybole began its
Christmas celebrations for 2008 with Maybole Pipe
Band parading from Maybole Castle to the Town Hall
followed by Santa and guests in his sleigh. Gregor
Connolly, Gala King of Carrick, and Robin Stevenson,
Gala Queen of Carrick, were given a helping hand by
Santa to switch on Maybole Christmas lights along
with local councillors Sandra Goldie, Brian
Connolly, Ann Galbraith and Mairi Low As the lights
were switched on there were flashes and bangs and
imitation snow to create that special Christmas
