MAYBOLE guest house landlady Janice McKellar produced a new personal best time for a half-marathon on Sunday. cup2.gif (24182 bytes) MIGHTY Maybole Amateurs lifted the Eric White Memorial Trophy when they beat Newmilns Vesuvius 2-0 at Dam Park last Wednesday.

Church holds meetings to mark centenary. MAYBOLE Baptist Church, founded in 1900, is holding a series of centenary meetings and celebrations this month.
trefoil2.gif (12388 bytes) THE opening night of the winter session of Maybole Trefoil Guild was a Members Night and it was enjoyed by all who attended. lookback2.gif (25456 bytes) 100 YEARS AGO: The annual meeting of the Maybole auxiliary of the National Bible Society is held in the Town Hall on the Sabbath, with Provost Ramsay presiding, and the hall well filled.

TOWN Hall bells are pealing again - on the hour - in Maybole. Problems with a new electronic trigger device meant they didn't usher in the year 2000. But technically speaking the new millennium doesn't begin till January 1, 2001, so there's another chance!
ladywell.gif (26869 bytes) Ladywell garden is starting to bloom. A GARDEN project in Maybole is well underway, with new pathways laid, new seats installed, a rockery and shrubbery developed and walls rebuilt.
