My name is now Diane Greenfield (nee Davidson). My father Samuel Allan Davidson was 1 of 9 boys born to Samuel and Grace Davidson in 1897. I was sent up to the family during the war to get away from the bombing and spent many years at the local primary school with my two brothers.

I have started a Family Tree and have gone back to Thomas Davidson and Margaret Law both born 1791 Margaret probably earlier. Very time consuming but as a pensioner very rewarding. Have been wondering if anyone should remember any of the brothers. William, Robert, John, James, George (Manager of the Coop) Samuel, Joseph, Alexander and Andrew.

I believe my cousin George became a teacher in the Colyton area. Andrew died in Prestwick in the 70's. William I believe was in Maybole at some time and was a poet and artist. Last family address was 36 Cassellis Road Maybole.

Any feedback would be most welcome to DiGreenfield @ Btinternet.com Now living in Cornwall.
